In 8th grade, my class took a field trip to Washington, DC. It was a long 9 hour drive from New Hampshire, and for most of my classmates, a first night away without constant supervision. It was fun, in an 8th grade sort of way.
Now that I’m about 10 years older, DC has much more exciting places for me to go. For example, Georgetown. We skipped out on Georgetown Cupcakes since they’re also located in NYC now, but we did go to a fab brunch spot call Matchbox 14 and enjoyed fruity mimosas and the warmth of the unseasonable September sun.
The streets in Georgetown will make anyone and everyone gush with adornment. One just cannot help but say, “This street is so cute!” or “I would love to live here!” Both came out of the word cloud of yours truly, numerous times.

Comfort is key as a tourist, and for my visit to the nation’s capital, I wore this tank just to tell the world where I’m from. I even got sounds of a confused man on the sidewalk say “I skull New York?” as he tried to hand me a paper announcement of something that didn’t seem as important as my tank at the time.
Let’s get through this Monday with a cheers to life and to best friends who are truly great for the soul.
Ps. congratulations to my dear friend Samantha on her new home ❤
