Ok, so it might not be the Triple Crown, but my visit to Belmont race track was so fabulous and I highly recommend planning a trip before the season is over. I was invited by my friends from Americas Best Racing for a special day at the track. The first thing that came to mind was, “omg I have nothing to wear!!!”
I ventured I to my closet to find the fanciest skirt I own and something to wear in place of a fascinator. For those who might not know, that’s an elaborate hat ladies sport at the races.
I found this while, lacey skirt, a flowy chiffon top and my fall BrittsBlossoms. So fancy, in fact, that when Liz and I arrived we got the following questions, “Are you guys here for a party?”, “You must be coming from Manhattan.”, “Are you lost?”, and “Can I take a picture of you?” The answer was yes to all, and I think we were dressed totally appropriately for horse races!
Top: L’Agence, skirt: Badgley Mischka, BrittsBlossoms, boots: Rag & Bone, bag: Celine, sunnies: Miu Miu
Belmont is just a quick train ride away from Manhattan on the LIRR, and seriously, if you’ve never been you need to! Races run all through the summer and deep into fall. For any questions about the races you may have, head on over to America’s Best Racing and gallop over to Belmont!
Thanks again for the wonderful day at Belmont, and happy Monday!
