America and the Teenager’s Birthday

I only wear red twice a year; Christmas and July 4th. I’m sure you can expect  that this post is about the latter. Not only was America’s birthday celebrated this past weekend, but my baby sister also turned 13 and is a real teenager now. Holy crap, where does the time go. My family and friends celebrated at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. I grew up on this lake and I love being back with my family so my sister can have the same fun times I did when I was her age.

We had a killer time, and you best believe that the water guns were my contribution to the boat’s water-toy arsenal. Here are a few pictures from the weekend, and I’ll apologize in advance if the angles make you a bit seasick, my mom was behind the camera for a few of these 🙂

I was also so excited to learn new things on my camera. Jazmyn and I played with sparklers and made these awesome designs. The USA shot took about ten tries, luckily my mom was prepared with lots of boxes of sparklers, which is another thing I grew up with. I have never able to find in New York, and I realized that it’s because ‘fireworks’ are illegal here. But all are legal in New Hampshire! Talk about Live Free or Die!

I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend and are still on vacation at the beach. I had to drive back to New York for work Tuesday, but luckily I have another NH trip planned real soon!

xx -S
