Despite the downpours of rain that decided to fall at night, my trip to Old Orchard Beach was such a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Luckily the sun forced it’s way out for a little bit so I could enjoy some of the rides and games like the kid that I truly am.
Riding in a car is boring, but knowing that e’re traveling somewhere that I can touch the ocean and put my toes in the sand makes the ride so much better. Well, who am I kidding. I slept the whole ride to Maine. Whatever, a girl needs her beauty sleep! Especially after partying it up at a friend’s wedding the night before! Oh yeah, there’s a picture from that too! 🙂
My hair needed a break from the humidity, and pigtail braids are always the answer for that. It takes me about three minutes to brains my hair like this, which usually surprises people. It’s a billion times easier than blowdrying and styling it, and is perfect for days that I’m running a bit behind schedule, or days like today when I just don’t feel like doing it!
The wedding was so beautiful and I couldn’t be happier for my dear friends Nick and Pam. Their wedding was wonderful and the rain even decided to take the backseat for the outdoor ceremony. My hair and suede heels thank you, Mother Nature. And congratulations to the newlyweds!
Wishing and dreaming that I was back at the beach now. I suppose I could handle a lake weekend instead. Man, it’s so tough to stay in the city during the summer when the water is calling my name!
