Bright and early Saturday morning, I was in a cab heading to the Dan Liu Spring Summer 2017 show in the West Village. Minor stressing because I was late, I kept telling myself Fashion Week always runs late. The show was scheduled to start at 10am, and my eta was 10:05. When I arrived, needless to say, the show wasn’t even thinking about starting yet.
I think it must be to build up excitement and anticipation about the show, or maybe just because it is really hard to get eyeliner wings even, especially on someone else, who also happens to be a model, but shows always run late. This show was no different. A collection of very wearable pieces with lots of color and amazing silhouettes, Dan Liu killed it with this show! Take a peek at the show below, and a few shots of my look from after the show.
I happened to find this skirt and jacket at Chic Consignment in Andover, MA that I loved together even though they’re completely difference brands. I made sure in lots of different lighting that the whites were the same so I didn’t look too crazy when I stepped outside into sunlight. I originally pictured wearing these with a cool vintage concert tee, but I don’t own any so I wore with this awesome Karma for a Cure tank instead. It’s a bit different than the norm for them because it’s a few years old. Guys, don’t tell anyone that I wore someone from multiple seasons ago (evil laugh).
Also, this necklace is totally killer. It brought my outfit together famously. I needed something to top it all off and this was the perfect piece. It’s so many different looks in one; it has a choker, long layers of multi-colored metal chains, and cool charm details. It just doesn’t get better!
My whole Saturday was spent between shows, shopping and meeting up with friends. It was an awesome day, but man was it exhausting! Thankfully, my Sunday was pretty chill and consisted of cooking and watching football. Go Pats!
