Wearing White in the Winter

Fishnets are the new black, if you haven’t heard. And I decided to try them out in white, with my new white and blue striped skirt because it’s winter and winter is about breaking the rules. I haven’t worn fishnet tights since my dance years (dying to take a ballet class in the city, suggestions!?) and they feel just like I remember them. Only this time my shoes don’t make the same tapping noise that they used to.

It took me a few tries to get this look how I wanted it. I tried it with pink shoes and pearls, then ankle boots and a vest, then a jacket and silver bag. The one thing I knew was that my new Topshop bell-sleeve top and striped skirt would be worn with white fishnets.

Speaking of this bell-sleeve top, how obsessed are you with it? It goes with everything, comes in tons of colors, is only $26 and it’s super soft and comfy. The exaggerated sleeve is another booming trend and I might have ordered like ten more tops with huge sleeves. Ok, I did. And I can’t wait to wear this skirt in the spring too. Versatile much?

I had the most relaxing weekend. Honestly, I gallivanted through the West Village on Saturday then accidentally fell asleep and slept through my Saturday night plans. Whoops! Sometimes low key weekends are totally needed to catch up on life things. I hope you all had wonderful weekends too, and make sure this week is the best one yet!
