Every so often when I think of it, I’ll look up fun national or international holidays to celebrate. Like, there’s a National Sneak Some Zucchini Into Your Neighbor’s Porch Day, which just so happens to be today. I was looking for an example and I actually can’t believe how weird it is that it’s today. Anyways, it’s also International Cat Day and here’s why you should care (and some really adorable pictures)!
I’d like to introduce you to Hannibal, the sweetest most snuggly cat I’ve ever met. Don’t let his name fool you, though he does love licking me and may occasionally try to bite my finger off. He is super playful (especially with my headphones, and anything with feathers), sleeps right by my side literally touching me every night, and loves stealing snacks from my plate.
The reason I’m telling you all about Hanny is because he’s looking for his forever home, just like tons of other kitties. Hanny bananny has been my roommate for the last few weeks and we’ve loved every minute spent together. I would love to be his forever momma, but sadly I’m not at a point in my life that I can have a responsibility like taking care of him forevs. Even though he’s actually easier to take care of than I am.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Shelter Chic, a foster-based animal shelter, that helps so many animals get the help they need to get healthy and out of shelters. They pulled Hanny from a city shelter and I was able to help him be comfortable around people and learn how to love again ❤ Please look at how adorable he is in these pictures, and I am not a cat person. He’s just won me over somehow!!
If you’re interested in meeting Han the man, email me at Stephanie@thefashionbroad.com or email@example.com – here’s his Petfinder profile too! If you’d like to learn more about fostering other pets like Hannibal, dogs, or kittens, definitely check out Shelter Chic! They currently have 21 pets being fostered looking for their forever homes! They’re amazing and what they stand for is so incredible!
Happy International Cat Day all my fellow cat peeps out there!
