For two weeks now, I have been contemplating how to update you all with my huge life changes. I don’t know how else to put it, but… I’M LEAVING NEW YORK!
Holy crap, what? I know. I feel the same way. I have spent an incredible 9 years in the Big Apple, and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m not leaving because I hate it or because something happened. I’m leaving because I simply need a new adventure in my life. New York City will always have a huge piece of my tiny heart, and truly I’m so so excited for this next chapter in my life book.
So, you probably want to know where I’m going. Well, the west coast has been calling me for years, and I’m finally answering the phone. As of the end of September, I will be a resident of San Francisco and I’m so freaking ecstatic!! I have been many times over the years and have developed a love for it. It has almost all that NYC has to offer, plus a few more hills, less snow, and amazing places to venture on the weekends.
I’m hoping this explains why I was pretty much absent from NYFW. Of course I had serious fomo the entire time and wanted to go to all of the shows, but I was really just too busy trying to figure my life out. I made it to a few events, and every time I got a calendar reminder of a show, I cringed and had to dismiss it. But in the big picture, I had to remember that planning and moving my life across the country is what’s most important right now.
All that being said, I’m not sure how it will change The Fashion Broad. I don’t have any plans on stopping, but I may be on a slight hiatus for the next few weeks. I don’t know anyone in San Francisco, so if you do, let me know! I also need recommendations of all the best restaurants, coffee shops, places to go and things to do! Email me – Stephanie@thefashionbroad.com please and thank you.
I can’t believe this is real life. I don’t consider it breaking up with New York City, we’re just on a little break. You know, like the kind you take in high school. There’s just somewhere else I’m interested in right now where it’s sunny all year and has palm trees. Who ever knows what the future holds. I just hope San Francisco is ready for all me! 😀 Here’s a little trip down memory lane (it’s a side street in the city.)…
Thank you for reading, and to all of you who have followed my adventures over the last 4 years of blogging. It’s only been a little look into my life, but I love sharing it with you!
