LA for the Weekend

Living in California and being able to drive just a few hours to Los Angeles is so amazing. It is something I never thought I would be able to do, as cheesy as that sounds. And despite having a bit of car trouble and missing a day in the city of angels (who needs an oil pan anyways?), weekend getaways are becoming one of my favorite things to do!

The best part about this trip to Los Angeles was the birthday party I went to. A half unicorn, half dinosaur-themed birthday party for a 3 and 1 year old, respectively. When I was packing, I had nothing more perfect than this colorful striped dress from Asos. It was from my latest binge order and I couldn’t wait to wear it. Thank goodness for those kiddos having a birthday!

As I get older, I notice that my weekends are becoming more routine. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing; workout, clean, brunch or dinner, and get ready for the work week. Sometimes a beach trip or baseball game might even be included. Mixing it up on occasion with a quick trip, even if just for a day, is the best way to keep things exciting. Especially when it involves a little shopping, new restaurants, and shave ice!

Happy hump day!
